The Council administers the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #00428e\" href=\"http:\/\/usjapantomodachi.org\/get-involved\/opportunities\/www.usjapantomodachi.org\" target=\"_blank\">TOMODACHI Initiative<\/a>, a public-private partnership forged after the Great East Japan Earthquake in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo with the support of the Government of Japan. \u00a0TOMODACHI invests in the next generation of Japanese and American leaders through educational and cultural exchanges as well as leadership programs. We seek to foster a \u201cTOMODACHI generation\u201d of young American and Japanese leaders who are committed to and engaged in strengthening U.S.-Japan relations, appreciate each other\u2019s countries and cultures, and possess the global skills and mindsets needed to contribute to and thrive in a more cooperative, prosperous, and secure world.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444\">The TOMODACHI Initiative is seeking an unpaid intern to begin immediately. \u00a0TOMODACHI offers an exciting environment for interns to be exposed to non-profit, corporate, and government fields.
