Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This person has the responsibility for a wide range of secretarial and other duties including correspondence, in-<\/span>house program handouts, biweekly payroll, notices, announcements, parent reminders, assisting with\u00a0<\/span>maintenance of school Web site and calendar, and numerous other duties as assigned. Strong phone and in-<\/span>person communication skills are essential due to daily interaction with parents, students, staff, substitutes, and\u00a0<\/span>school district personnel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements<\/b><\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Must have ability to quickly learn and assume duties with minimum supervision, organize work and prioritize <\/span>multiple tasks, proofread and process correspondence, create and maintain accurate files and records, meet\u00a0<\/span>deadlines. Candidate should have strong computer skills with proficiency in PC-based Microsoft Office\u00a0<\/span>applications. It is essential that applicant be able to work well with others and deal diplomatically with\u00a0<\/span>administrators, teachers, students, and parents. It is highly desirable that the candidate be bi-lingual in Japanese\u00a0<\/span>and English.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the nature of the work, a spirit of cooperation with all others is essential.<\/span>

Specific details involved in the position will be discussed with the administrator during the interview and at the time\u00a0<\/span>of hiring for the position.<\/span>

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement between the Livonia\u00a0<\/span>Public Schools School District and the Livonia Secretarial Association, Michigan Education Association.<\/span>
