Overview:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The Language Center and Library Assistant\u00a0<\/b>will perform daily operations related to the Center, and\u00a0<\/b>provide administrative support to the Director of the Language Center and Library.Duties include assisting with student registration and program administration, data-entry and database maintenance, answering inquiries, and assisting with special Language Center events, activities and projects. Training will be provided.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

This is a part-time hourly position with a regular weekday schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to adjust scheduled hours to meet the needs of the department.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Excellent customer service skills and comfort interacting with the general public<\/li>\n
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n
  • High level of proficiency in Japanese language is preferred<\/li>\n
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel<\/li>\n
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills<\/li>\n
  • An interest in Japanese culture<\/li>\n
  • A minimum of one year administrative, clerical or other related experience required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
