The Embassy of Japan is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for a position in the Japan Information and Cultural Centre.\u00a0JICC is the cultural section of the Embassy of Japan in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

This position will be responsible for a wide range of general office administrative duties, including organising Japanese cultural events, as well as various exchange programmes conducted by the Japanese Government.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Planning and implementing Japanese cultural programmes and other public relations activities, including negotiating with external organisations in Japan as well as New Zealand.<\/li>\n
  • Introducing and disseminating Japan related information to the general public.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinating and managing various JICC functions including presentations, cultural displays and library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Native-level spoken Japanese, and fluency in English<\/li>\n
    • Excellent written communication skills in both English and Japanese<\/li>\n
    • Work experience in Public Relations (PR) covering speech writing, reports, publicity, website management preferred<\/li>\n
    • Computer proficiency in both English and Japanese (general Microsoft applications)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
