The Global Experience Office (GEO) at Northeastern University is accepting\u00a0<\/span>applications for two positions. See details below.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Study Abroad Coordinator\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong> The Global Experience Office (GEO) seeks a qualified\u00a0<\/span>candidate to organize and promote its programs and to advise NU students<\/span>\u00a0throughout the study abroad process. The Coordinator advises students on<\/span>\u00a0study abroad opportunities (faculty led and traditional), the application<\/span>\u00a0process, and assists with coordinating program logistics at home and<\/span>\u00a0abroad. The position also assists with developing and organizing<\/span>\u00a0information sessions, orientations, re-entry workshops, and other study<\/span>\u00a0abroad-related events for prospective applicants and study abroad alumni.<\/span><\/p>\n

This person will collaborate with other offices, clubs, faculty, and<\/span>\u00a0international partners to promote GEO\u2019s programs and services, maintain<\/span>\u00a0scholarship resources, and oversee office collaborations with various<\/span>\u00a0student groups and student workers to provide peer support for NU students.<\/span>\u00a0The Coordinator will be expected to advise all programs; however, will be<\/span>\u00a0assigned specific countries for which they will be the primary advisor for<\/span>\u00a0all aspects of the advising and application process, for students and<\/span>\u00a0faculty with faculty led programs. Some evening and weekend events will be<\/span>\u00a0required for extended evening hours to accommodate the NU coop students.<\/span>\u00a0Additionally, the Coordinator will participate in domestic travel for<\/span>\u00a0conferences and international travel for site visits, as necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong> \u2022 Successful candidates will have a master\u2019s degree in a<\/span>\u00a0relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of experience advising, studying<\/span>\u00a0or working abroad; proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management and<\/span>\u00a0study abroad CRMs; excellent organizational, interpersonal and written<\/span>\u00a0skills; strong attention to detail; the ability to multitask and learn new<\/span>\u00a0software systems, meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of<\/span>\u00a0a team.<\/span>\u00a0Must be comfortable meeting and communicating with people from a wide<\/span>\u00a0range of cultures and backgrounds, Experience working with faculty is<\/span>\u00a0desirable.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a02. Associate Director – New Program Development, Logistics & Operations<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u00a0The Global Experience Office (GEO), seeks a qualified<\/span>\u00a0individual for the role of Associate Director for New Program Development,<\/span>\u00a0Logistics and Operations who will be responsible for new program<\/span>\u00a0development using in country service providers. Working with the Director,<\/span>\u00a0the Associate Director will develop a strategic plan for the GEO insuring<\/span>\u00a0that new programming fulfills learning objectives. The Associate Director<\/span>\u00a0will manage the marketing function for all GEO programs using creative<\/span>\u00a0media to promote offerings to Northeastern students and to students from<\/span>\u00a0other colleges and universities. The Associate Director will be conversant<\/span>\u00a0with and interpret transnational regulations, especially student visa<\/span>\u00a0regulations. The Associate Director will also oversee management of partner<\/span>\u00a0contracts and agreements and will assist the Director with writing grant<\/span>\u00a0proposals. In the Director\u2019s absence, the Associate Director will represent<\/span>\u00a0the GEOat university-wide meetings, on and off campus, as necessary.<\/span>\u00a0International and domestic travel will be required to attend conferences<\/span>\u00a0and site visits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong>\u00a0Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field is required. JD or<\/span>\u00a0paralegal work preferred. Demonstrated experience managing in-country<\/span>\u00a0logistics of international programs. 10 years experience working in<\/span>\u00a0fast-paced, results-driven, university environment. Experience with<\/span>\u00a0transnational regulations, especially student visa regulations and foreign<\/span>\u00a0institution contract or MOUs. Experience managing the development of<\/span>\u00a0creative media for program marketing purposes. Strong public speaking and<\/span>\u00a0communication skills, experience with website management and computer<\/span>\u00a0skills. Previous supervisory experience is required. Excellent management<\/span>\u00a0and interpersonal skills are critical. Experience working successfully with<\/span>\u00a0domestic and international students, as well as faculty and staff is<\/span>\u00a0required. The ability to relate and be sensitive to diverse cultural<\/span>\u00a0backgrounds is imperative. This individual should be able to travel<\/span>\u00a0domestically and internationally as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n
