This contract will run from \u2018Date hired\u2019 this summer to\u00a0March 31, 2015. Future contracts are 1 year, long-term renewable, based on performance\u2026in a nut-shell, if the relationship \u2018works out\u2019 SOSHI Education Group can provide some long term job-security.<\/p>\n<p>Although the weekly work schedule for this position is \u2018fixed\u2019 for the year, successful candidates must show flexibility and a willingness to travel from home to four different school campuses every week. The teaching schedule for this position requires weekly commutes to Umeda Campus(Osaka), Sannomiya and Ashiya Campuses(Hyogo) and Himeji Campus (Himeji) with a teaching load of approximately 21 classes per week. The contract also requires teachers work 2Saturday\u00a0mornings or afternoons per 4 week month at Umeda Campus(Osaka). Successful candidates will be Degree certified, with a demonstrated 1 to 2 years teaching experience in Japanese Junior or Senior High Schools or be able to show some comparable experience. First preference is awarded to Candidates with Graduate Diploma or MA level TESOL qualifications. It is also recommended that applicants are confident conversing, problem solving and managing day to day interactions in Japanese as they will be teaching \u2018solo\u2019 in the campuses and they will likely be the only native English teacher and\/or English speaker on site.<\/p>\n<p>Other responsibilities include coordinating club activities like basketball, tennis, school community volunteer groups or a club of the teachers own skills\/interests; speech contest preparation; making\/grading tests; participating in weekly campus meetings; scheduled sales and promotional events and both culture and sports days.\u00a0\u00a0It is also expected that successful candidates will be mindful of interacting with students out of class and around the campus in general, helping to promote an \u2018open door\u2019, communicative and nurturing campus culture.<\/p>\n<p>It is important that candidates demonstrate skills teaching to mixed level classes and especially an awareness of teaching students with special learning and behavior needs.
