Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The WEDC is currently seeking a dynamic professional for our open Vice President of International Business Development position located at our MADISON, WISCONSIN headquarters.\u00a0<\/span>

The Vice President of International Business Development is responsible for leading a team and initiatives that will accelerate Wisconsin exports by expanding international markets, enhancing export assistance resources in the state and by promoting Wisconsin as a destination for foreign investment.\u00a0<\/span>

The Vice President of International has the following primary roles:\u00a0<\/span>
1. Provide WEDC leadership with short and long range goals, strategies and tactics for accessing international markets and expanding the market share of Wisconsin products and services in priority markets.\u00a0<\/span>
2. Counsel WEDC leadership, business and government leaders on trade issues and opportunities for Wisconsin.\u00a0<\/span>
3. Provide leadership to the International Division team and oversee division budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Minimum of ten years senior-level management experience in industry, business or economic development\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Degree in business or related field (post graduate degree preferred)\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Extensive knowledge of exporting, export regulations and practices and trade policy.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Considerable knowledge of economics and business management principles and practices.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Knowledge of research techniques, data collection and effective data analysis.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Ability to develop relationships with industry, government officials, and other state agency staff.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Ability to analyze economic, investment and business factors.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Ability to lead strategic planning practices.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Ability to work under pressure with competing demands.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, diverse, dynamic environment.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Demonstrated project Management experience in a leadership role.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with senior executives as well as diverse groups of customers internal and external to the organization.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels of business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of management team.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Superior analytic skills, and the ability to compile, analyze and leverage performance data to both optimize current business and identify new opportunities.\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Bilingual ability is desirable but not required.<\/span><\/p>\n
