Full details of the position are available on our <a href=\"https:\/\/sjobs.brassring.com\/TGWebHost\/searchopenings.aspx?SID=%5elUInbM2y53tfV\/beVN40bOgfFTgRMwdiMMVZfb\/y8EBdTP\/nE7rvDuSmci20NP_slp_rhc_R\">Human Resources website<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222\">(Requisition ID 5634BR); please note that the position will close on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 11:59pm.<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222\">Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222\">Collaborates with ASU faculty and support staff to coordinate all aspects of a portfolio of assigned faculty directed programs including program design, budget development and monitoring, program services procurement, student recruitment, application review\/processing, and pre-departure orientations and meetings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparing budget proposals and controlling program expenditures in accordance with budget allocations; negotiating contracts between ASU and partners\/providers for faculty directed program facilities and services; processing program contracts and invoices in collaboration with the departmental business manager; developing and\/or facilitating faculty directed program orientations, materials, and activities; communicating and enforcing university and departmental policies and procedures; coordinating program applications, logistics, scheduling and participant communications with program faculty\/staff; assisting in recruiting faculty directed program participants through various means; maintaining direct contact with various parties to ensure all aspects of assigned programs are implemented and controlled according to plans; responding to program-related inquiries from students, parents, and university faculty and staff; inputting and maintaining the integrity of data in database\/website for all assigned programs and participants; participating in one or more office teams or special projects\/initiatives (such as scholarships\/financial aid, student orientation and re-entry, curriculum integration, and assessment) as assigned; visiting at least one other ASU campus per month to raise awareness of study abroad opportunities; representing the office at campus events, conferences, and site visits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222\">Days and Schedule:<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222\">Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Evening and weekend work and international travel may be required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222\">Minimum Qualifications:<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a related field AND three (3) years of experience in program administration\/coordination; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and\/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222\">Desired Qualifications:<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222\">Master&#8217;s degree in Business, International or Higher Education Administration, College Student Development, Counseling or a related field; three or more years of experience in study abroad administration at a four-year college or university or study abroad organization, especially coordinating faculty directed programs; significant experience living, studying or working abroad, marketing a product or programs within higher education, interacting with and supporting diverse populations, and developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and the community; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Outlook; experience using PeopleSoft and Studio Abroad data management systems; evidence of the ability to take initiative, work independently, and maintain confidential and sensitive information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222\">Department Statement:<\/span><\/strong><br style=\"color: #222222\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222\">The Study Abroad Office is committed to enriching the academic experience at Arizona State University by affording students the opportunity to develop the intercultural competence, transnational understanding, and leadership skills required to face global challenges.
