Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Program Director reports to the Executive Director of the Office of International Studies & Programs and provides program management for the day-to-day operations of University English as a Second Language (<\/span>UESL<\/span>) Program. This position directs and supervises staff in the intensive English program and summer programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in Education, Teaching or related field\u00a0AND<\/span>\u00a0four (4) years of progressively responsible managerial experience; OR a Bachelor\u2019s degree and an equivalent combination of experience, training and\/or education which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience developing and managing budget(s).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience developing\u00a0ESL<\/span>\u00a0and cross-cultural training curriculum.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Administrative experience in international programs.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Demonstrated experience traveling and\/or living abroad.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving.<\/p>\n

Preferred\u00a0Qualifications:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in\u00a0TESOL<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proficiency in a foreign language.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience teaching foreign students or teaching\u00a0ESL<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in managing international programs in higher education.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with marketing and\/or recruiting activities.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Supervisory experience.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Familiarity with the Student and Exchange Visitor System reporting.<\/p>\n
