Regional Advisor for Asia, Middle East and North\u00a0Africa (Position Number: 00061208) &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.ncsu.edu\/postings\/36860\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/jobs.ncsu.edu\/postings\/36860<\/a>&gt;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><!--more--><\/div>\n<div><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with professional staff as a team to manage a subset of programs,\u00a0including faculty-led group programs of various lengths, non-exchange\u00a0semester length programs, and exchange programs. For designated geographic\u00a0regions, serve as the lead contact for NC State study abroad programs.\u00a0Manage student exchange agreements for designated region. Serve as advisor\u00a0for participants on designated study abroad programs: manage the complete\u00a0program application and acceptance process for both outgoing students and\u00a0incoming international exchange students. Coordinate and administer\u00a0designated NC State faculty-led and other group programs, including:\u00a0oversight of program budgets; marketing materials; emergency procedures;\u00a0adherence to University and Office policies; and, in collaboration with\u00a0faculty, overall program administration.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the Director and Associate Directors in developing and\u00a0implementing new programs.<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with other Study Abroad Office staff, assist with\u00a0pre-departure orientation programs for incoming students, trainings for\u00a0program faculty directors, office-wide marketing events, and other duties\u00a0as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Represent NC State and the Study Abroad Office at state, regional, and\u00a0national conferences, as needed. Represent NC State and Study Abroad Office\u00a0on site visits to international partners and for program development, as\u00a0needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position-Specific Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><b>1. *Regional Advisor for Southern Europe:<\/b>\u00a0Coordinate pre-departure\u00a0orientations for all outgoing students, including planning, content\u00a0oversight, arranging speakers as needed, and preparing all materials.\u00a0Coordinate re-entry activities. Maintain and revise, as needed, outgoing student handbooks, both in print and online.<br \/>\n<b>2. *Regional Advisor for Asia, Middle East and North Africa:<\/b>\u00a0Manage\u00a0social media for office and special events, including annual Study Abroad\u00a0Fair and New Student Orientation. Coordinate office presence at marketing\u00a0and outreach events. Assist Associate Director for Curriculum Integration\u00a0with overall office outreach efforts, marketing initiatives and events.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Minimum Education\/Experience: Master\u2019s degree, or a Bachelor&#8217;s degree and\u00a0minimum of two years professional experience in the field of international\u00a0education.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Departmental Required Skills: Professional experience in the field of\u00a0international education. Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of\u00a0study abroad and exchange programs; experience in student or academic\u00a0advising; experience studying, living, and\/or working abroad. Excellent\u00a0communication skills, including public speaking; computer proficiency. Must\u00a0be willing to work occasional evenings and\/or weekends.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Preferred Experience, Skills, Training\/Education: Master\u2019s degree.\u00a0Previous experience working in a study abroad office and on a university\u00a0campus strongly preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with\u00a0experience working with programs in or other demonstrated expertise in\u00a0designated geographic region of position (Southern Europe or Asia,\u00a0primarily).<br \/>\nPrevious study of a foreign language. Experience setting and managing\u00a0program budgets. Experience using StudioAbroad software. Ability to\u00a0prioritize workload, and adapt to changing demands and priorities.\u00a0Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment.
