The Assistant Director oversees all administrative\u00a0functions of the Justice Brandeis Semester and Brandeis-Led Study\u00a0Programs which include some 17 faculty-run programs. The Assistant\u00a0Director manages the development of new program proposals and\u00a0administers the logistics of the programs including publicity, the\u00a0application process, budget monitoring, logistical arrangements for\u00a0students and faculty, and assists in the evaluation of the program. The\u00a0Assistant Director also assists in advising students interested in\u00a0summer experiences abroad as well as manages all undergraduate international exchange relationships.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs all administrative and general management aspects of the\u00a0program. Works with faculty and overseas partners to establish and\u00a0run Brandeis-led study programs. Tracks students applications to the\u00a0program, ensure applications are complete, coordinates review of\u00a0academic and student life standing, and disseminates the\u00a0applications for faculty and staff review. Develop a standardized\u00a0application, acceptance and rejection letters, forms, program\u00a0participant contracts, and coordinate any pre-program orientation\u00a0sessions. Provide administrative support to faculty supervising the\u00a0JBS and BLSP.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates support services for students. Arranges housing,\u00a0educational travel, and health and safety precautions for students\u00a0participating in abroad programs, coordinating these efforts with\u00a0Brandeis faculty and the host institution. Coordinates with other\u00a0campus offices the need for classroom space and support services.<\/li>\n<li>Designs publicity for the JBS and Brandeis-Led Study Programs in\u00a0conjunction with faculty and staff. Creates written materials and\u00a0web pages, and coordinates outreach both on and off campus to\u00a0promote these innovative academic opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for enrollment targets for programs and oversees records\u00a0of budgets and expenditures for both programs. Independently\u00a0monitors, troubleshoots, and follows up on delays in processing of\u00a0the budget. Prepares paperwork, budget reimbursements, and p-card\u00a0allocations. Provides quarterly reports on budget allocations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters in higher education or related field required.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a04-6 years of total work-related experience<\/li>\n<li>1-2 year of supervisory\/management experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and experience with academic program administration and\u00a0implementation and emergency risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and communications skills; strong attention\u00a0to detail. Ability to be responsible to multiple constituencies\u00a0including faculty, students, parents, and international program\u00a0providers.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, StudioAbroad, PeopleSoft and\u00a0other software programs.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of one or more languages other than English preferred.\u00a0Experience developing and administering budgets. Must be able to\u00a0work as part of a team.
