We are seeking a\u00a0professional who will facilitate student community and global engagement by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing all aspects of the Mary Baldwin College study abroad\u00a0program including student advisement, collaboration with faculty and campus\u00a0departments, communication with study abroad providers, coordination of\u00a0scholarships and student preparation;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring effective Spencer Center administration and\u00a0communication through oversight of campus-wide communication, student\u00a0workers, and data-tracking;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting International students through orientation programming\u00a0and student advisor coordination; and<\/li>\n<li>Initiating efforts to \u201cglobalize\u201d the campus through\u00a0international scholars, inter-cultural programs, lecture series and\u00a0college-wide theme education efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Bachelor\u2019s degree plus one year of experience working in a higher\u00a0education setting is required; A Master\u2019s degree in student affairs,\u00a0international education or related field preferred. Experience studying,\u00a0working or teaching abroad is desirable. Fluency in or familiarity with a\u00a0second language preferred. Must possess knowledge and understanding of\u00a0civic engagement and study abroad programming and literature. Candidate\u00a0must demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication\u00a0skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships\u00a0with a wide range of constituencies including a diverse student body. This\u00a0position requires strong organizational and time-management skills with the\u00a0ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The candidate will be\u00a0expected to work collaboratively to anticipate and solve problems\u00a0thoughtfully and resourcefully. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products\u00a0(Word, Excel) and email software a must. Knowledge of social media tools\u00a0and resources is preferred.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a 10 month, full time position.
