Many on-site decisions are inevitably left to the discretion of the Resident Coordinator.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administration of the local office of the School in Russia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as first contact for student problems (academic, medical, psychological)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as liaison between students and administration\/professors of the host university<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare monthly expense reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist students in identifying extracurricular activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Secure internships for interested students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure students are provided with proper university documentation and registered with local authorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide course registration and grades to director in Moscow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrange student housing in host city (generally in Russian homes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as academic advisor\/evaluator (some tutorial work may be required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Organize and accompany students on field trips and excursions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate on-site orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function independently<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Russian and English<\/li>\n<li>In-country living and travel experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with both U.S. and Russian educational systems<\/li>\n<li>Computer and e-mail skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm for study abroad and interest in internationalization<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to wear different hats and work long hours, when needed<\/li>\n<li>Student services or similar experience preferred<\/li>\n<li>Crisis management experience highly desired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/middlebury.peopleadmin.com\/postings\/8790\">Please visit the job listing for more information and to apply.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Via JET alum Carleen Ben.\u00a0Posted by\u00a0Jayme Tsutsuse\u00a0(Kyoto-fu, 2013-Present),\u00a0organizer of\u00a0Cross-Cultural Kansai,\u00a0seeking work opportunities in NYC starting in August 2014.
