As the locus for all the University’s global engagements, the University\u00a0Office of Global Programs (UOGP) is an area of opportunity for those\u00a0seeking a career in the field of international education. UGOP is seeking\u00a0an International Sponsor Relations Manager to provide leadership support\u00a0for Penn State relations with international governments, agencies and\u00a0corporations which sponsor international student enrollment. The\u00a0International Sponsor Relations Manager will continue the cultivation of\u00a0current external relationships with ninety plus international sponsoring\u00a0entities while always actively recruiting new international sponsors.\u00a0This position requires advanced international cultural competencies,\u00a0including but not limited to protocol communication with foreign\u00a0governments and personnel, proven experience with successful financial\u00a0negotiations and the ability to increase the overall international student\u00a0sponsored population.<\/p>\n

This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3,\u00a0depending upon the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and\u00a0experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher plus four\u00a0years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and\u00a0experience for a level 2. Additional experience and\/or education and\u00a0competencies are required for higher level jobs. A Master’s degree or\u00a0professional degree is preferred. The successful candidate must have\u00a0previous supervisory experience, significant international business\u00a0experience, a record of recognized professional achievement and the\u00a0ability to work with broad constituents including academic leaders,\u00a0corporate executives, non-profit leadership, international governments,\u00a0and their dignitaries. This individual should possess excellent\u00a0communication, organizational, and computer skills in addition to\u00a0proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and learning\u00a0advocacy tools. This position requires significant domestic travel to\u00a0local embassies and consulates and occasional international travel. This\u00a0position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job\u00a0duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor\u00a0vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background\u00a0checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of\u00a0hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.<\/p>\n
