This position directs and supervises staff in the intensive English program and summer programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Education, Teaching or related field\u00a0AND\u00a0four (4) years of progressively responsible managerial experience; OR a Bachelor\u2019s degree and an equivalent combination of experience, training and\/or education which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing and managing budget(s).<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing\u00a0ESL\u00a0and cross-cultural training curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>Administrative experience in international programs.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience traveling and\/or living abroad.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in\u00a0TESOL.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in a foreign language.<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching foreign students or teaching\u00a0ESL.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing international programs in higher education.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with marketing and\/or recruiting activities.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory experience.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Student and Exchange Visitor System reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the development of new programs and professional relationships that will enhance overall operations; promote cross-cultural interaction and awareness among various constituencies on and off campus.<\/li>\n<li>Assesses, revises and develops academic and non-academic components of the Program to increase overall effectiveness and competitiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage budgets for all\u00a0ESL\u00a0programs.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate all academic and non-academic aspects of the Program which include classes taught, student orientation and international field trips.<\/li>\n<li>Develop marketing and recruitment strategies for each program.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update\u00a0UESL\u00a0website.<\/li>\n<li>Travel overseas for marketing and recruitment purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the Program and maintain a positive relationship with a variety of constituencies:\u00a0CWU\u00a0faculty, staff; Ellensburg community members, schools, and overseas organizations and governments.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the program as a language learning facility resource and teaching resource for the campus (particularly with the English Department and community.<\/li>\n<li>Advise\u00a0UESL\u00a0students on academic and personal issues.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve conflicts among students and faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Provide opportunities for professional development of faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Develop all aspects of new programs: curriculum, experiential activities, budget and contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees admission of students (including\u00a0SEVIS).<\/li>\n<li>Maintain communication with\u00a0CWU\u00a0departments to facilitate smooth integration and support of\u00a0UESL\u00a0students: Housing, Dining Services;
