This position serves as the primary liaison between IPO and the faculty directors and departments who offer short-term faculty-led study abroad programs to ensure the quality of UMass study abroad experiences. This position has substantial programmatic involvement and requires a high degree of familiarity both with IPO programs, events, policies, and procedures, as well as with the academic policies, procedures, and requirements of the various Colleges within the University.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bachelor\u2019s Degree required (Master\u2019s Degree preferred), and minimum 5 years experience in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Significant knowledge of field of international education.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Substantive experience in living, working and\/or studying abroad.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; General knowledge of the process of academic program development and implementation .<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Familiarity with risk management standards in the study abroad field.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Significant experience developing and administering budgets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); ability to learn StudioAbroad (online software system).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ability to interact with faculty, students, administrators, and others in a highly professional manner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; High degree of organization and attention to detail required.<\/p>\n<p><b>Additional Information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>HIRING SALARY RANGE: $41,100 &#8211; $51,500<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NORMAL STARTING SALARY:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>$41,100 &#8211; $46,300<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROFESSIONAL STAFF SALARY ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM POSITION LEVEL 26.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University of Massachusetts is committed to a policy of equal opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, disability, military status, or genetic information in employment, admission to and participation in academic programs, activities, and services, and the selection of vendors who provide services or products to the University.
