We\u2019ve seen what can happen when\u00a0high schools relax the rules for yearbook photos<\/a>. Today, we bring you the Japanese\u00a0anything-goes graduation!<\/strong>\u00a0At the Kanazawa College of Art, graduating students can wear anything they want to the ceremony \u2013 and they certainly rise to the challenge.<\/p>\n

The students\u2019 epic outfits have become such a popular attraction that\u00a0TV crews even turn up<\/strong>\u00a0to find and interview the wearers of this year\u2019s best costumes. The effort these students have put into their outfits is really something!<\/p>\n

Many universities in Japan don\u2019t require graduating students to wear gowns or square caps, although students often choose to attend in formal clothing. We never thought we\u2019d see\u00a0a troop of\u00a0Mario Kart<\/em>\u00a0cosplayers<\/strong>\u00a0lining up for graduation, though!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not only art colleges where Japanese students take the opportunity to cosplay for graduation! Check out these photos from last year\u2019s graduation at\u00a0Kyoto University, Japan\u2019s second-oldest university and one of the highest-ranking schools in Asia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
