Provides individual pre-departure academic advising;\u00a0plans and conducts information meetings, orientations and post-program\u00a0debriefings; works closely with advisors and faculty on campus and abroad;\u00a0and responds to queries. Helps to organize and maintain the Overseas\u00a0Study Information Center.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates application dossiers; and maintains the student database; and assists in hiring, training and working with 10-15 student peer counselors.<\/li>\n<li>Represents Overseas Study in professional groups and to student\u00a0organizations and travels internationally as needed to become familiar with\u00a0Indiana University program sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree, one year of personal international educational\u00a0experience, such as study or relevant work abroad, and one year\u00a0experience working in a study abroad office in the U.S. or abroad, or\u00a0similar relevant international education experience, such as academic\u00a0advising or teaching.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in at least one other language; excellent computer skills; strong\u00a0organizational and skills; and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in study abroad administration, international or cross cultural field, student personnel administration or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply on line at the website of the Indiana University Office of University\u00a0Human Resources Services (<a href=\"https:\/\/ola.indiana.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/ola.indiana.edu\/<\/a>).
