Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Beloit College seeks a dynamic and creative individual with a strong\u00a0foundation in F-1\/J-1 immigration regulations to serve as its International\u00a0Student Advisor. Responsible for international student and scholar\u00a0advising, the ISA facilitates the integration of international students\u00a0into the college and local community and provides supports for students as\u00a0they prepare for their futures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Successful candidates will provide evidence they are adept using SEVIS,\u00a0have effective strategies for communicating with students, and are\u00a0resourceful. The ISA reports to the Director of International Education\u00a0and within the Office of International Education, works particularly\u00a0closely with an ESL instructor, intern, and student workers. The ISA also\u00a0works with colleagues across the college as well as with community members,\u00a0and must therefore be an effective networker. In addition to fulfilling\u00a0the position’s primary functions, the ISA helps support campus\u00a0internationalization more broadly. The ISA position carries the title of\u00a0Assistant Director\/International Student Advisor.<\/p>\n

Located in a diverse community close to Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago,\u00a0Beloit College is a highly selective, residential liberal arts college of\u00a0approximately 1,250 students from 48 states and 40 countries,10% of whom\u00a0come abroad. Approximately 1\/3 of international students are exchange\u00a0students.
