Director and its advising staff,\u00a0the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the central Study\u00a0Abroad Office\u2019s overall promotion and recruitment plans for undergraduate\u00a0study abroad programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><br \/>\nManagement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee study abroad Resource Room<\/li>\n<li>Interview, train and supervise Study Abroad Peer Advisors<\/li>\n<li>Manage Peer Advisor schedules, coordinate special projects, and set\u00a0performance goals<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Study Abroad Student Ambassador Program and the student\u00a0returnee club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Promotion<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In consultation with the Associate Director, lead in the creation and\u00a0implementation of a study abroad office marketing and outreach strategy<\/li>\n<li>Devise and implement effective methodologies to recruit students for study abroad programs<\/li>\n<li>Participate in outreach to academic units which includes professors and\u00a0academic advisors, in addition to student affairs units such as the Office of\u00a0Minority Student Affairs and the Career Center<\/li>\n<li>Develop and distribute the monthly study abroad newsletter<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Study Abroad Office\u2019s blog, Facebook, Twitter, and\u00a0Instagram accounts<\/li>\n<li>Organize International Week events for Study abroad including yearly\u00a0photo contest<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement study abroad fairs in coordination with academic\u00a0departments<\/li>\n<li>Oversee branding process and maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Assessment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct surveys designed to understand student needs and monitor the\u00a0success of outreach activities<\/li>\n<li>Assess student satisfaction and overall program experience using\u00a0campus-wide survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some travel and attendance at national\/regional conferences when appropriate\u00a0and related to Outreach initiatives<\/p>\n<p>Must be willing to work occasional evening and weekend hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizational Relationship:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThe position reports directly to the Associate Director, Study Abroad Office\u00a0who reports to the Director of the Study Abroad office who reports to the\u00a0Associate Provost for International Affairs who reports to the Provost.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree, ideally in field of marketing\/communication\/public\u00a0relations<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years experience working in promotion\/recruitment for study\u00a0abroad<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of marketing principles and methods<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in public speaking, oral and written communication<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills in Excel, desktop publishing, InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience creating print and\/or web-based marketing materials<\/li>\n<li>Effective supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills, ability to be diplomatic<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate effectively and enthusiastically in a team\u00a0environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in field of marketing\/communication\/public relations<\/li>\n<li>Film editing experience (iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro)<\/li>\n<li>Experience studying, living or working abroad<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of university settings and relations between faculty, staff,\u00a0and students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Commensurate with experience and
