<\/em>Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

St. Norbert College has an opening for a full-time Study Abroad Advisor responsible for working closely with students in all phases of the study abroad process, including promotion and outreach, advising and selection, on-going orientation, and credit transfer. \u00a0Position will prepare students for a successful immersion experience; develop opportunities for returning students, and assist in program administration, assessment, and development. Occasional evenings and weekends.<\/p>\n

In addition, position will produce print and electronic promotional\/marketing materials, perform administrative tasks (monitor e-mail, maintain databases, website, social media outlets and online application system), assist with design and implementation of pre-departure and re-entry programming initiatives, and compile data from pre-departure and re-entry surveys and additional data for program reporting.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor\u2019s Degree (Master\u2019s or coursework towards Master\u2019s in International Education preferred) in a field pertinent to international education; a minimum of 2 years work experience in the field of international education; strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills; strong computer literacy; and at least a four-month study or living abroad experience. Additional desirable qualifications include: knowledge of a second language; familiarity with best practices in study abroad, student development theory and learning outcomes; ability to work with students, faculty, staff, parents, program providers, exchange partners, overseas counterparts, insurance provider, online application software provider, etc.; ability to design effective marketing materials; knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Pages or Publisher, CMS\/Cascade, Terra Dotta StudioAbroad, Prezi, Web 2.0 applications\/social media softwares.<\/p>\n
