Overview:<\/b><\/p>\n

The Coordinator for Programs and Global Initiatives will work with the Associate Dean for Programs and Global Initiatives to:
\n1) Support existing Academic programs
\n2) Assist in the development of new programs (including online initiatives)
\n3) Assist in the day-to-day management of global programs and non-JD programs, which will include
\nThe Advanced JD Program for Non-US lawyers (AJD); the LLM program in International Trade and Business Law and the SJD program. As well as International exchanges, visiting international scholars, Master in Legal Studies (MLS) program; and undergraduate classes and programs.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n

*Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Associate Dean for Programs and Global Initiatives.
\n*Provide administrative support for and assist in the recruitment, enrollment, orientation, assimilation, and nurturing of international students, visiting scholars and non-JD students.
\n*Assist admitted international students and visiting international scholars in regards to immigration issues, including securing visas for entry into the U.S. and summer and post-graduate work-permission
\n*Serve as liaison with other student support offices at the law school and on campus in relation to international and non-JD students.
\n*Participate in planning and execution of programming related to global issues.
\n*Provide logistical support to visiting foreign faculty and other foreign dignitaries.
\n*Other duties as assigned<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years of administrative\/coordinative program experience; OR, six years of progressively responsible administrative coordinative program experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and\/or education.<\/p>\n

*Bachelor’s degree
\n*Excellent judgment and superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
\n*Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
\n*Cultural awareness and sensitivity, and demonstrated effectiveness relating to students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
\n*Ability to respond to numerous competing demands, coordinates the work of others, and handles multiple programs and activities.
\n*Ability to prospectively identify and address issues and tasks needing attention.
\n*Ability to take the initiative in furthering the success of relevant programs.
\n*Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with others.
\n*Ability to actively listen, empathize and understand the concerns of others.
\n*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.<\/p>\n

Preferred\u00a0Requirements:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

*Professional proficiency in a second language, with a particular preference for Chinese, Spanish, or Portuguese.
\n*Student services experience, and particularly experience in the recruitment and provision of services to international students.
\n*Experience with the administration of international programs and services at the college or graduate level.
\n*Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to immigration and VISA processes
\n*Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
\n*Knowledge of University systems including UAccess.
\n*Prior experience with marketing, including international marketing<\/p>\n
