Overview Position: <\/b>
\nLead and manage the Overseas Admissions Counseling Office which is responsible for all aspects of recruiting students from overseas for TUJ’s Undergraduate Program and assist in achieving the university’s targets and goals<\/p>\n

Primary Responsibilities: <\/b>
\n\u2022Develop and execute overseas recruiting strategies.
\n\u2022Increase the number of inquiries and applications for the Undergraduate Program while improving the overall quality of new students.
\n\u2022Supervise and coach other members of the Overseas Admissions Counseling team.
\n\u2022Manage the budget for Overseas Admissions Counseling.
\n\u2022Provide information about TUJ programs to prospective students, parents, teachers, administrators at high schools and community colleges, and others.
\n\u2022Plan, organize, and complete recruiting trips overseas throughout the year visiting high schools, community colleges, and international schools, and attending conferences and fairs.
\n\u2022Attend open campus sessions, receptions, and events in Japan.
\n\u2022Coordinate special recruiting events such as summer programs for high school students and visiting groups.
\n\u2022Plan and manage admissions scholarships.
\n\u2022Provide individual admissions counseling via e-mail, telephone calls and in person, and follow-up with prospective students, parents and counselors.
\n\u2022Advise students and families on admissions procedures, housing, and living in Japan.
\n\u2022Build and maintain relationships with Japanese teachers, school counselors, international partners and overseas students.
\n\u2022Maintain updated undergraduate print and web publication materials in English, working with the Communications office to create new content as needed.
\n\u2022Work closely with the Domestic Admissions Counseling team and other departments.
\n\u2022Report to TUJ’s Associate Dean, Enrollment Management.<\/p>\n

Qualifications & experience: \u2022Bilingual (English\/Japanese) candidate desirable, but other candidates considered
\n\u2022Experience in working in international admissions and\/or student recruiting in higher education is preferred
\n\u2022Strong computer skills (Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
\n\u2022Experience in marketing (especially social media marketing) and management
\n\u2022Strong leadership and innovative and creative thinking skills
\n\u2022Graduate of a U.S. university preferred or familiarity with college study in the U.S. or Canada
\n\u2022Minimum of five years work experience
\n\u2022Friendly, customer-focused, and professional
\n\u2022Ability to travel internationally for extended periods, especially in the fall and spring
\n\u2022Valid driver’s license with authorization to drive in the United States<\/p>\n

Desired start date is August 1, 2013, or shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n

Salary\/Benefits: <\/b>
\nFifteen days paid vacation in the first year increasing to 24 days after 6 years of employment, plus 5 paid “personal and sick days” each year. In addition, approximately two weeks company-wide break over Christmas\/New Year, Japanese social insurance and pension, commuting allowance, and tuition benefits for Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) programs.<\/p>\n
