The successful applicant will join the 50-strong UK Trade and Investment Team, which aims to promote economic growth and prosperity by helping British companies to access the Japanese market and encouraging Japanese companies to invest in the UK. This is a high priority for the British government.<\/p>\n<p>The Marketing team at UKTI\u00a0Japan has a clear mandate to increase the number of UK companies we help. We plan to do much of this digitally. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a capable digital professional to work within the British Embassy to develop the professionalism and reach of our digital services to UK companies coming to Japan. The position offers a highly-rewarding opportunity to make a personal contribution to improving business links between the UK and Japan.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This successful candidate will manage our suite of digital platforms on a daily basis, uploading, styling and cross linking content for an audience of mainly UK companies looking to export to Japan. The aim is to develop our online platforms with fresh content, improved services and better functionality to help UK companies make better and quicker decisions about their next steps in the market. The role will extend the reach of our digital partnerships, working with strategic partners to provide information and services like webinars, event booking tools, and access to downloadable offers via a new Export to Japan member\u2019s scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Main Duties \u00b7\u00a0Digital Platform Manager \u00b7\u00a0Manage all UKTI\u00a0Japan digital platforms \u00b7\u00a0Update\/upload all English &amp; Japanese-language content on the following platforms: gov.uk, Open to Export, Export to Japan, Business Opportunities, Connect, Emarsys\u00a0(e-newsletter system) \u00b7\u00a0New Digital Delivery Tools \u00b7\u00a0Set up and run an online events listings &amp; booking tool \u00b7\u00a0Manage membership of the site \u00b7\u00a0Develop and manage content on social media sites \u00b7\u00a0Analyse data derived from digital activity to identify leads and inform strategy development \u00b7\u00a0Develop the reach and impact of our digital platforms \u00b7\u00a0Webinar &amp; recorded AV content production \u00b7\u00a0Coordinate technical AV production \u00b7\u00a0Produce each webinar\/live AV event along with teams \u00b7\u00a0Film events &amp; interviews \u00b7\u00a0Record podcasts \u00b7\u00a0Manage webinar studio &amp; equipment \u00b7\u00a0Support \u00b7\u00a0Coordinating with digital teams in wider Embassy and in strategic partners \u00b7\u00a0Logistical support to support the Marketing Team as required<\/p>\n<p>Requirements The successful candidate will be proficient in English, with Japanese-language ability useful but not essential. They will have prior experience of digital work, preferably of managing websites delivering information and services to English-speaking users.
