Overview<\/b>
\nThe Center for Global Business and Government is dedicated to programs that prepare leaders to better understand, shape, and succeed in the dynamic interactions between business and government in today\u2019s global economy. In the wake of the World Financial Crisis, governments are now a factor in most strategic global business decisions, and the leaders of global businesses and national governments struggle to understand each other\u2019s goals, constraints, and methods. The programs at the center are aimed at addressing this knowledge gap.<\/p>\n

Position Purpose<\/b>
\nTo help grow the programs of the Center for Global Business & Government as a member of an energetic and entrepreneurial team. To execute center programs efficiently, effectively, and accurately. To develop relationships with student groups interested in the Center\u2019s mission. To contribute ideas for improving and augmenting the operations and content of the Center\u2019s student-facing programs.<\/p>\n

Skills & Knowledge<\/b>
\n\u2022Excellent project management skills.
\n\u2022Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
\n\u2022Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
\n\u2022Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
\n\u2022Well developed, clear verbal and written communication skills.
\n\u2022Ability to represent the center with students, senior faculty and executives, and outside vendors.
\n\u2022Ability to work well in a team.
\n\u2022Ability to manage budgets.
\n\u2022Ability to contribute ideas in discussions with the center team about the center\u2019s programs and strategy.
\n\u2022Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
\n\u2022Experience using database software preferred.
\n\u2022Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.<\/p>\n

Minimum Experience<\/b>
\n\u2022Three years of relevant work experience, including demonstrated success in project management.
\n\u2022Experience working autonomously.
\n\u2022Experience negotiating with, hiring, and managing vendors.
\n\u2022Writing and presentation experience.
\n\u2022Experience interacting with senior faculty, executives, or the equivalent.
\n\u2022Budget management experience.
\n\u2022Experience in business or a business school setting preferred.
\n\u2022Experience working in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment preferred.
\n\u2022Personal experience with international travel (for tourism, study, or work) preferred.
\n\u2022Experience administering international education programs a plus.<\/p>\n

Minimum Education<\/b>
\n\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n\u2022Master\u2019s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience desirable.<\/p>\n
