The Director manages and oversees the Office and performs the following duties.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Direct all aspects of the Office of International Student Services in support of the mission statement of the Division of Student Affairs and the College.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Draft, recommend and implement College and CUNY policies and procedures on a variety of international student issues managed by the Office, such as admissions, health insurance, resident tuition, and English proficiency for international students.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Create goals and objectives for the Office that are reflective of CAS Standards and monitor and evaluate the Office&#8217;s success. Responsible for the Office achieving its goals.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Supervise staff and develop office policy to ensure efficient service delivery.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Provide leadership in the development of international and diversity student activities and programs.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Collaborate with the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development in support of programming efforts.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Ensure appropriate record retention for all required program documentation and reporting.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Serve as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) in all matters pertaining to the US Department of Justice (Immigration &amp; Naturalization Service).<br \/>\n\u00b7 Serve as Responsible Office (RO) in all matters pertaining to the US Department of State (US Information Agency) and the College&#8217;s Exchange Visitor Program.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Advise international students on regulations governing F-1 status.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Oversee SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) I-20&#8217;s issuance. Monitor SERVIS compliance.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Advise students regarding curricular practical training (internships), optional practical training and IRS compliance.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Produce and maintain the International Student Handbook.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Plan and facilitate International Student Orientation in the fall and spring; provide or extend programs to ensure students have access to new information and programming requirements and are refreshed on previous information.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Provide regular mentoring and advising support to discuss concerns and assist with adjustment to college and living in the U.S.; including information on living and transportation issues.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Serve as an advisor\/mentor to international student organizations.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Establish appropriate relations with College community, faculty and staff to provide additional support and to inform students of resources available to them.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Assist faculty and staff in the development of international student curricular programs and ESL curricula.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Serve as a resource to the Office of Human Resources and the schools on matters pertaining to non-citizens being recruited by or seeking employment at the College.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Act as City College representative to the CUNY International Education Advisory and the Council of International Student Advisors.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Perform other related duties as assigned.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS<br \/>\nA bachelor&#8217;s degree in student affairs administration or related field and six (6) years experience in international student services and advising experience required; knowledge of current immigration regulations and SEVIS procedures preferred; master&#8217;s degree preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident in order to serve as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO).<\/p>\n<p>TO APPLY Please submit a letter of interest, resume and three professional references to:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Nancy L.
