\nDUTIES:(The duties described reflect the full performance level of this position)
\nThe incumbent serves as back-up to the Country Desk Officer (CDO) who is the primary liaison between Peace Corps\/Africa Region and assigned posts overseas. The incumbent participates and assists the CDO in the daily management and administration of all Peace Corps activities, both programmatic and operational, affecting assigned host countries. In addition, the Country Desk Assistant participates in assisting country programs in developing projects and making recommendations consistent with overall Peace Corps and Regional goals and policies. Performs work involving the collection, compilation, and\/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of an organization’ s program operation.
\nPerforms training support duties such as the coordination, scheduling, and acquisition of training, and\/or the maintenance of training records and files.
