\nCAPAS\u00a0(Center for Asian Pacific American Students) provides programs and services that focus on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues for a multicultural campus community. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Center\u2019s daily operations, serving as a resource and facilitating programs for AAPI\u00a0students, raising awareness of issues affecting the AAPI community, training and developing student leaders.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/b>
\n1. Provide support and guidance to AAPI\u00a0students and develop programs and activities designed to build awareness of the AAPI culture, history and identity.<\/p>\n

2. Determine needs and develop long-term goals and objectives for the Center. Develop learning outcomes and regularly assess\u00a0student learning as it relates to CAPAS programs.<\/p>\n

3. Oversee the Center\u2019s daily operations including selection, training, scheduling and payroll for student staff personnel.<\/p>\n

4. Responsible for planning and coordinating major events, and developing and maintaining the resources in CAPAS, including the website.<\/p>\n

5. Advise various student groups and programs that foster intercultural understanding through Asian American issues, including the Asian American sponsor program.<\/p>\n
