Overview:<\/b>
\nThe Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh is the representative office of the Japanese Government in Scotland and North East England. The Consul General is the head of office.<\/p>\n

Applications are invited for the post of PA to the Consul General. This is a varied role within a small office. The post would suit a confident, adaptable and conscientious individual with an interest in Japan.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will have<\/b>:
\n* Excellent oral and written communication skills
\n* Excellent organisational skills and good attention to detail
\n* Good interpersonal skills
\n* Advanced knowledge and experience of Word, Excel and Outlook
\n* At least two years\u2019 experience in a similar role
\n* An awareness of political and current affairs, and an understanding of Scottish and British society and culture<\/p>\n

Responsibilities will include:<\/b>
\n* All diary arrangements
\n* Dealing and responding to all incoming mail, and drafting Consul General\u2019s correspondence
\n* Liaison with Consulate contacts in various sectors and at all levels
\n* Hospitality and event management
\n* Write briefings and reports as required
\n* Assist other Consulate colleagues as required<\/p>\n
