Work is carried out independently under general supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. IIE may add, change, or remove essential and other duties at any time.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Responsible for complying with applicable contract and sponsor requirements and following all IIE policies and procedures<br \/>\n\u2022Manage multi-million dollar grant, which enables individuals from all over the world to travel internationally to conferences, seminars, and short courses. Primary responsibilities include preparing grants and contracts, conducting due diligence, and monitoring grant\/contract progress and payment.<br \/>\n\u2022Assure compliance with IRS regulations, other U.S. government regulations and foundation-specific guidelines for all grants, identifying potential issues<br \/>\n\u2022Ensure grant files meet legal and auditing requirements; coordinate creation, and maintenance of all grant files<br \/>\n\u2022Manage the logistics of travel for consultants and grantees including heavy interaction with the travel agency to arrange for domestic and international travel and hotel reservations worldwide<!--more--><br \/>\n\u2022Serve as back-up for technical aspects of various programs, including the grantee databases; on-line applications<br \/>\n\u2022Oversee grant data in database and provide reporting and analysis<br \/>\n\u2022Maintain program systems and procedures related to grants, working with Accounting and the Information Technology Department to improve data management and streamline procedures<br \/>\n\u2022Performs other duties and functions as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><b>Education\/Experience:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree and 2 years of experience working in grants management, or a combination of education and experience.<br \/>\n\u2022Experience and facility working with accounting and international banking regulations. Knowledge of grant making regulations, including Expenditure Responsibility rules, a plus.<\/p>\n<p><b>Skills Required:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022Program budgeting skills are necessary.<br \/>\n\u2022Excellent organizational ability necessary; ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.<br \/>\n\u2022Strong analytical skills are required, as are excellent interpersonal\/cross-cultural skills and ability to work effectively at all levels inside and outside organization.<br \/>\n\u2022Initiative, mature judgment, and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.<br \/>\n\u2022Ability to work as a member of a team.<\/p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office 2010; internet software and database software.<\/p>\n<p><b>Work Environment and Physical Demands:<\/b><br \/>\nEssential functions are typically performed in an office setting with a low level of noise.
