OACC\u00a0builds vibrant communities through Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) arts and culture programs that foster intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue, cultural identity, collaborations, and social justice.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>OACC\u00a0is a thriving first class community arts organization in Oakland and the Bay Area that promotes cross-cultural understanding for present and future generations.\u00a0 Local artists and their cultural art forms are promoted through a variety of programming and community collaborations.\u00a0 OACC envisions vibrant, healthy, and just communities where diverse Asian and Pacific Islander American identities and heritage are affirmed and celebrated through cross-cultural interchange, intergenerational dialogue, and educational programming. For more information, please see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oacc.cc\/\">www.oacc.cc<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Executive Director<\/b><br \/>\nThe Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of the organization\u2019s resources to accomplish OACC\u2019s vision and goals. Primary responsibilities include overall direction of the organization, fundraising, fiscal management, public relations, and program operations. OACC has six core staff serving a broad constituent base of over 25,000 people per year. In conjunction with key staff, the ED oversees the maintenance of a 15,000 sq. ft. facility and rentals program, which is an important source of revenue for the organization.<\/p>\n<p><b>Core Responsibilities:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Fiscal management and fundraising: Be responsible for financial management of the organization. Develop and implement policies to achieve effective resource allocation and enhance revenue. Using an entrepreneurial approach, develop and sustain facility and rentals program. Work with the Board of Directors to develop and oversee fundraising activities, including soliciting individual donors, corporations, and foundations. Fiscal management is a core activity for the Executive Director.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Public and community relations: Represent OACC\u00a0in the APIA, arts and culture, Chinatown, Oakland and Alameda County community to increase OACC\u2019s visibility. Create alliances with strategic partners in the community to be responsive to community needs. Establish strong, continuing relationships in both the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Personnel management: Promote an organizational culture that fosters strong teamwork, effective communication, and commitment to the organization\u2019s vision. Oversee recruitment, selection, professional development and evaluations of organization staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Program planning and management: Work with program staff to develop and oversee programs to achieve the organization\u2019s goals. Ensure that day-to-day operations and programs of OACC are effectively administered. Provide appropriate oversight of program staff activities, and overall systems and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Board relations: With the Board chair, coordinate Board involvement.
