The Director of the International English Center reports to the Executive Director of the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. The IEC Director is responsible for planning, coordination, and administration of the IEC including supervision and management of faculty and staff in accordance with the policies and procedures of the University of Colorado Boulder campus and the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. The IEC is a self-supporting program within CE and serves approximately 250+ students each 8-week session.<\/p>\n<p>The IEC Director is a senior level position responsible for the administration and management of the IEC, including providing leadership and supervision of faculty and staff; budget planning and control; facilities management; adherence to immigration regulations; promotional activities including marketing and student recruitment; and personnel\/program evaluation in accordance with state\/university requirements. The Director must have a strong commitment to the values of a research university and matriculating international students from the IEC into undergraduate and graduate degree programs at CU Boulder.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Responsibilities:\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>40% Managerial and Administrative<\/b><br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Provides leadership in the coordination, development, administration and assessment of IEC programs<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Establishes key working relationships with appropriate internal and external campus and community groups including Continuing Education, CU-Boulder administration, the Linguistics Department, College of Arts and Sciences and other key partners<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Provides leadership, supervision, assessment for assigned staff and faculty<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Develops and manages the IEC budget, preparing forecasts and revenue and expense reports for the yearly budget process<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Oversees recruitment, supervision and evaluation of faculty<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Oversees facility planning and usage<\/p>\n<p><b>40% Programmatic <\/b><br \/>\n\u00b7 \u00a0Coordinates the activities of the IEC with appropriate University and CEPS\u00a0agencies and offices (e.g. records, registration, bursar, etc.) including offices related to international student recruitment, retention, success and services.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Maintains strong working relationships with the Chair and faculty of the Department of Linguistics.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Represents the IEC and CEPS on Campus and on University-wide workgroups and committees relating to international student recruitment, retention and success.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Represents the IEC and CEPS to appropriate professional organizations related to areas of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p><b>10% Marketing &amp;
