Overview: <\/strong><\/em>
\nAmazon.com is seeking dedicated, hardworking, analytical candidates with a proven track record of performance and results-oriented thinking, to join the Investigation Team in Seattle. Candidates will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the investigation and elimination of online eCommerce\u00a0risk. Ideal applicants will have experience in the eCommerce payments space, risk and fraud investigations, previous trust and safety experience, and experience succeeding in a customer-driven workplace. Knowledge of Japanese bank systems will be a plus. All candidates will be analytical and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n

This position requires interaction with external and internal clients. Internal clients include teams in Payments, Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, etc.; external clients include Buyers and Sellers. Besides investigation, you will also get to learn about wide range of operational and technical knowledges from associated internal teams, and learn how to lead projects such as improving operational and system efficiency.<\/p>\n

The position relies on excellent judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will work under very limited supervision of the Manager. Excellent individual problem-solving and analytical skills are used to authenticate customers and complex transactions and accounts. Nearly all decisions are expected to be made independently with little to no guidance and a high degree of accuracy.<\/p>\n

Communication Skills<\/strong>
\n\u2022Demonstrated Written and Verbal English Native or near native Japanese skills and an ability to compose a grammatically correct, concise and accurate written response.
\n\u2022Proven and demonstrated Interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex transactional issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers.
\n\u2022Proven and demonstrated experience with clear, crisp and proactive documentation of operational procedures required to tackle known risk related patterns.<\/p>\n

Problem Solving Skills<\/strong>
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to work independently, make complex investigation decisions with little to no guidance, and analyze problems logically
\n\u2022Self disciplined, diligent, proactive and detail oriented
\n\u2022Ability to maintain time management and organizational skills
\n\u2022Effectively prioritizes work time to ensure productivity and fulfills department standards for time spent<\/p>\n

Dealing with Ambiguity<\/strong>
\n\u2022Proven ability to work in fast paced dynamic environments where decisions are made without compromising on customer experience and financial losses.
\n\u2022Ability to steer to a desirable solution by liaisoning with key subject matter experts (SME).
\n\u2022Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns.
\n\u2022Prior knowledge of the fraud or risk investigations is a plus
\n\u2022Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver optimum results Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
\n\u2022Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
\n\u2022Flexible schedule, including willingness to work on one of the days on weekends, and outside of the “standard” work day. Your shift will be either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday- Saturday.
\n\u2022Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime hours as per business requirement
\n\u2022Experience in payments & banking (especially Japan-specific) domain is strongly preferred.<\/p>\n
