{"id":27047,"date":"2012-09-17T18:41:47","date_gmt":"2012-09-17T22:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=27047"},"modified":"2012-09-17T21:42:53","modified_gmt":"2012-09-18T01:42:53","slug":"jetaa-rocky-mountain-jets-come-out-for-the-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2012\/09\/17\/jetaa-rocky-mountain-jets-come-out-for-the-kids\/","title":{"rendered":"JETAA: Rocky Mountain JETs Come Out For The Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jlgc.org\/default.aspx?languageTypeID=1 \">the Japan Local Government Center blog<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Rocky Mountain JETAA chapter has been busy with two recent events helping out their various Colorado sister cities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Rocky Mountain JETAA chapter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jlgc.org\/UploadedImages\/JETAA\/Rocky%20Mountain\/photo1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"279\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fujiyoshida, in Yamanashi-ken, and Colorado Springs just celebrated their 50th anniversary in early August, so RMJETAA mobilized their Colorado Springs and Denver JET alumni to participate in the festivities in Colorado Springs and be available to assist with translating, interpreting, and other duties for the 70 visitors from Japan. One main place they helped out was the family event held at America the Beautiful Park on August 4<sup>th<\/sup>. Because many JET alumni from Colorado Springs were placed in Fujiyoshida\u00a0as ALTs\u00a0and CIRs, the celebration was a great chance for friends and acquaintances on both sides to get together again and reminisce about old times spent together in Japan.
