This project is part of our Going Global Program, which connects schools in the United States, Japan, and other nations using secure social networking.<\/p>\n<p>The Associate will work with other team members, especially the Director of Education, on all aspects of the programs to ensure smooth implementation, including significant responsibility for logistical arrangements. The position requires significant communication with Japanese program partners and schools. The Associate will also contribute to other Education program activities as needed. The Going Global Program is a multi-year project contingent upon continued funding.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities include<\/span><\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Assisting in all aspects of the initial launch and implementation of a high school student exchange<br \/>\nprogram designed for potential future leaders of both countries, including logistical arrangements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintaining consistent, professional, and timely communication with all program partners in both the<br \/>\nUnited States and Japan.<br \/>\n\u2022 Providing program support to American and Japanese participants during period of actual exchange.<br \/>\n\u2022 Overseeing administrative aspects of student exchange and social networking programs, including tracking<br \/>\nexpenses, helping to draft reports, and maintaining and organizing appropriate paperwork.<br \/>\n\u2022 Helping with the administration of the Going Global social network, including consistent and<br \/>\nprofessional communication with Japanese program partners and schools.<br \/>\n\u2022 Traveling both abroad and domestically as required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Helping with other education programs, as needed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Qualifications Required<\/span><\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English communications skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 B.A. including relevant coursework in Japanese studies, education, and\/or educational technology, or<br \/>\nB.A. and equivalent professional experience, M.A. preferred.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
