Thanks.<\/em>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position:<\/strong> Research Program Coordinator (San Francisco Bay Area)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Research Program Coordinator UC Berkeley &#8211; Main Campus<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CBE\u2019s Research Program Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful day-to-day operation of the center, providing support to research staff, faculty and graduate student researchers (GSRs). The position requires balancing multiple activities and the ability to prioritize work to ensure that tasks are completed on time. The position also requires a high level of professionalism, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and a high degree of personal ownership to ensure quality work products are delivered and support activities are performed. The position requires professional communications with CBE\u2019s industry representatives, many of whom are senior executives in their respective companies.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Membership Communications 35% <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Assist with email communications to consortium members, helping to keep potential members apprised of CBE activities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain contact databases and email listserves, and assist in managing contacts with individuals and groups in the Bay Area, the U.S. and abroad.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist with recruitment of consortium members by preparing information packages and print materials.<br \/>\n\u2022 Work with center staff and faculty to update brochures, websites, and other outreach materials.<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain publication lists, and assist the director and researchers with posting research papers to the CBE website and online services.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist with special publicity efforts such as CBE Livable Buildings Awards. <\/p>\n<p>Event Planning 35% <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Take primary responsibility for CBE\u2019s semi-annual conferences which occur in April and October.<br \/>\n\u2022 Work in close collaboration with communications manager, faculty and research staff to schedule conference dates, develop agenda, and notify industry members.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist with the editing, printing  and electronic posting of meeting materials.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage event logistics such as email invitations and reminders, meeting registration, catering,  room reservations, AV setup, parking, and reception planning.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with invited guests, speakers and faculty, and provide post-event follow-up.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate pre-meeting rehearsals of presentations. <\/p>\n<p>Research Administrative Support 30% <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintain long term and monthly budget planning documents, and coordinate monthly budget meetings with research staff.<br \/>\n\u2022 Take primary responsibility managing membership agreements with existing consortium members, and setting up agreements with new members.<br \/>\n\u2022 Understand university policies to assist faculty, staff and GSRs with budgets and purchasing.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with UC Berkeley administrative staff for budget tracking, and managing consortium funds. Assist faculty and researchers to track funding opportunities, and to prepare materials for grant proposals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bachelors degree in related area and\/or equivalent experience\/training<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent spoken and written English required.<br \/>\nAbility to interact in a professional manner with a broad range of industry sponsors and research affiliates.<br \/>\nExcellent organizational skills, with experience in project management, events planning, and\/or university administration.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.<br \/>\n\u2022 High skill level with standard office applications such as Word, Excel, contact managers, online and email programs.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proofreading skills and the ability to produce professional looking documents and webpages using Word, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop (preferred).<br \/>\n\u2022 Expert skills using Excel to track and chart project budgets (preferred).<br \/>\n\u2022 Building industry experience, and\/or ability to understand and edit documents on energy or building-related topics. -Experience in marketing, editing, or public relations (preferred).<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in an academic research environment may be helpful. Familiarity with the Berkeley Financial System (BFS), and the BAIRS reporting system (preferred).<\/p>\n<p>Salary: Hiring salary range: $45,792 &#8211; $54,732 annual, depending on experience and qualifications.
