JET alum George Rose<\/a>\u00a0(Fukushima<\/a>-ken, 1989-91)<\/strong>, former interpreter for Hideki Irabu as well as former JETAA NY<\/a> President, is quoted in a Sunday, October 9 feature article “Irabu Got Lost on the Way Back<\/a>“<\/strong>)\u00a0in the New York Times<\/em>\u00a0about Japanese pitcher Hideki Irabu<\/strong>\u00a0who recently committed suicide<\/a>. \u00a0The article gives the impression that George was one of the few U.S. baseball colleagues who actually got to know Irabu personally.<\/p>\n
