Job Position:<\/strong> English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor (Brooklyn, NY)<\/p>\n

Job Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Maura Clarke-Ita Ford (MCIF) Center, a non-profit located in Brooklyn, is in need of an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor beginning in September.<\/p>\n

The position is for a Level 3 instructor weekday mornings for 14 hours per week. Hours are Monday through Wednesday from 9 am to 12 pm, and Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm. The academic year at MCIF Center is concurrent with the NYC Public School Calendar year.<\/p>\n

MCIF Center is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, patient, ESL instructor who is willing to learn and develop as a teacher.
\n
\nResponsibilities:
\n-Preparing and implementing lessons in a student-focused environment.
\n– Maintaining accurate student records.
\n-Working with the Education Coordinator on curriculum development.
\n-Attending mandatory, weekly staff meetings.
\n-Communicating about the needs of students on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\nB.A. required, Prior teaching experience strongly preferred, BEST Plus Exam certification a plus.<\/p>\n

Pay: Pay range is from $22 – $25 per hour<\/p>\n
