Open part-time teaching positions with the Seattle Japanese Language School. Two alumni are currently teaching at JLS.<\/p>\n

Class is held on Saturdays, starting July 10, till June 16, 2012
\n9:00am-11:30am. Two recesses in between.

\nLooking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intermediate 1 level.
\nWe use Textbook Adventure in Japanese, By Hiromi Peterson.
\nExpecting very small class (around 8), ages from 8-11.
\nPay scale is between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour for first year, depending on the level.
\nLevel 4
\nEducation major in 4 year college and Teaching certificate.
\nLevel 3
\nEducation major in 4year college, and\/or graduate of 4 year college with experience teaching Japanese in qualified school for over 10 years.
\nLevel 2
\nGraduate of 4 year college or Early childhood education in junior college (2 years) and over 5 years teaching Japanese in qualified school.
\nLevel 1
\nGraduate of 4 year college or early childhood education in 2 year college and over 1 year experience in teaching Japanese in qualified school.<\/p>\n

Wage information:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 4 hours x hourly wage + $10 per Saturday<\/li>\n
  • Paid monthly at the beginning of the month.<\/li>\n
  • Paid monthly meeting 1 hour.<\/li>\n
  • Manning the booth at Cherry blossom Festival and extra work for Undokai or performance day is paid upon agreement hours.<\/li>\n
  • Class supply is covered up to $50 per class per school year.<\/li>\n
  • No pay for absent days.<\/li>\n
  • No vacation pay.<\/li>\n
  • No sick day.<\/li>\n
