Job Position:<\/strong> Coordinator for Public Relations<\/p>\n

Job Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Japan Information and Cultural Centre (JICC), Embassy of Japan, is seeking applicants for the position of Coordinator for Public Relations.<\/p>\n

Main duties: <\/strong>
\n-Developing the Embassy\u2019s Public Relations Strategy
\n-Managing the Embassy\u2019s website and monthly web-magazine
\n-Planning and running the Embassy\u2019s cultural exchange programme for young people
\n-Assisting with the Embassy\u2019s various events
\n-Handling general administrative and supportive duties for the activities of the JICC
\n
\nEssential skills and experience:<\/strong>
\n-Fluent in English with a high level of both written and spoken Japanese (JLPT level 2 or above, or equivalent)
\n-Good communication and organizational skills
\n-A good understanding of Japan and an interest in promoting Japan in the UK
\n-Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)<\/p>\n

Desirable skills and experience:<\/strong>
\n-An ability to propose own concrete ideas for promoting Japan
\n-Experience in and evidence of constructing\/managing websites (preferably in Dreamweaver)
\n-Competency in HTML and CSS
\n-Proficiency in the use of image manipulation software (such as Fireworks or Photoshop)
\n-Experience with and an interest in social media (especially Twitter, Facebook and Flickr)<\/p>\n

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and must state that they have this right through citizenship, permanent residency or work permit on application.<\/p>\n
