The DC office&#8217;s primary<br \/>\nfunctions includes researching the US economy, trade and industry; engaging in activities to promote exports and investment to Japan; performing liaison functions for visiting Japanese delegations; and general office administration activities.<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mipro.or.jp\/english\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mipro.or.jp\/english\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.mipro. or.jp\/english\/ about\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College degree,  business, economics, international policy, or political science majors preferred.\u00a0 Master&#8217;s degree, or equivalent experience a definite plus.<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience writing reports.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to research and analyze economic and political data from primary and secondary sources.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of current world events and international trade issues.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communications skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff and management.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong time management skills including ability to work with minimal supervision on special research projects.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point.<\/li>\n<li>Japanese language skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Description:<\/p>\n<p>The Research Analyst serves as a key information resource for the Washington DC office and Tokyo headquarters, providing timely and relevant analysis and reports on political, economic and business issues.
