Job Position:<\/strong> Broadcast Coordinator (Tokyo)<\/p>\n

Job Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Broadcast Co-ordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall success of a BBC based project. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be part of the team responsible for the Japanese versioning of live news and current affairs programming.
\n
\nResponsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Day to day running of Japanese studio in Tokyo\n<\/li>\n
  • Monitoring Japanese audio output\n<\/li>\n
  • Investigating and reporting on broadcast issues\n<\/li>\n
  • Operation of broadcast systems such as subtitling programmer and auto playout software\n<\/li>\n
  • Organisation of schedules and staff rotas\n<\/li>\n
  • Processing freelancer invoices\n<\/li>\n
  • Out of hours response for broadcast issues\n<\/li>\n

    Knowledge and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • The ability to work well under pressure and using your own initiative\n<\/li>\n
  • Previous broadcast experience would be an advantage\n<\/li>\n
  • Competence with Mac, PC, Microsoft Word and Excel\n<\/li>\n

    Personal Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills\n<\/li>\n
  • Superb attention to detail\n<\/li>\n
  • Must be punctual and able to manage own time and conduct several tasks simultaneously and to tight deadlines\n<\/li>\n
  • Confident and pro-active\n<\/li>\n
  • Japanese language ability\n<\/li>\n
