{"id":17943,"date":"2011-03-16T13:21:37","date_gmt":"2011-03-16T17:21:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=17943"},"modified":"2011-03-16T13:27:49","modified_gmt":"2011-03-16T17:27:49","slug":"upcoming-events-to-support-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2011\/03\/16\/upcoming-events-to-support-japan\/","title":{"rendered":"Upcoming Events to Support Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know a lot of donation information has already been  made available on this site, but for those who want to be involved  with events actively supporting the cause here are two coming up in NYC that I would like to pass along:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Run for Japan<\/strong>: Sunday, March 20 from 8:30-1 @ 72nd  St. &amp; 5th Ave. (Central Park):  http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#!\/event.php?eid=203082156369673<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SUPPORT JAPAN: Moms Get Together in Union Square to Raise Funds and Awareness: <\/strong>Welcome to anyone who wants to help Japan (not just moms)!\u00a0 Please   join us in supporting the victims of Japan&#8217;s 3.11 earthquake.\u00a0 This  event will raise funds, awareness, and show our support  for the victims  of the disaster. The  worst earthquake in the history of Japan,  followed by a tragic tsunami  and shocking nuclear plant disasters, is  more than the Japanese can  handle on their own. You can imagine how  scary and horrible the past  week has been for millions of Japanese  people. \u00a0Thousands of people are  dead, tens of thousands are still  missing, and more than 120,000 are  displaced from their homes.
