Job Position:<\/strong> Technical Translator<\/p>\n

Job Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Havok (http:\/\/www.havok.com<\/a>) is currently recruiting for a Technical Translator\/Localisation specialist to work in our Tokyo office. The role will involve working on technical documentation for our award winning physics engine software. We are looking for someone to understand the software, and translate from English to Japanese.<\/p>\n

Role Objectives:<\/strong>
\n\u2022\tMaintain the Japanese localized versions of Havok\u2019s documentation for all products
\n\u2022\tKeep Japanese versions of Havok documentation up to date during product development
\n\u2022\tContribute as a member of Havok\u2019s world-recognised Development Team.
\n\u2022\tRepresent Havok as needed with customers providing translation and interpreting services as required<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n\u2022\tBuild the appropriate level of expertise required for the accurate translation of highly technical documentation.
\n\u2022\tHelp to develop and maintain in house localisation infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022\tBecome a key contributor to Havok\u2019s Development Team.
\n\u2022\tDeliver on assigned tasks and identify risks\/roadblocks and provide solutions

Required Skills and Experience:<\/strong>
\n\u2022\tAn appropriate technical background or 3 to 5 years of experience translating technical documentation in a software field.
\n\u2022\tStrong technical\/colloquial Japanese and excellent English communication skills
\n\u2022\tSolid interpretation skills
\n\u2022\tMust be flexible with strong customer focus, time management, and communication skills
\n\u2022\tAble to grasp complex technical concepts and principles quickly.
\n\u2022\tStrong communication skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment
\n\u2022\tFamiliarity with software localization processes and practices.<\/p>\n
