J-pop and MJ fans have reason to rejoice this week.<\/div>\n

According to Billboard<\/em><\/a>, Yellow Magic Orchestra\u2019s 1979 electropop smash \u201cBehind the Mask<\/a>\u201d will appear on Michael, the first posthumous album from the late recording megastar Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n

Penned by YMO\u2019s Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto with Chris Mosdell, \u201cBehind the Mask\u201d was first brought to Jackson\u2019s attention by legendary producer Quincy Jones during the Thriller sessions in the early \u201980s. The King of Pop cut the Japanese group\u2019s song, adding an extra melody line and additional lyrics. Legal battles barred it from making the album, and the tune languished in the vaults until now.<\/p>\n
