{"id":15109,"date":"2010-11-28T23:08:28","date_gmt":"2010-11-29T03:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=15109"},"modified":"2010-11-28T23:08:28","modified_gmt":"2010-11-29T03:08:28","slug":"researcher-needs-jet-alum-help-with-interesting-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2010\/11\/28\/researcher-needs-jet-alum-help-with-interesting-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"Researcher needs JET alum help with interesting survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>I recently had an interesting conversation with <strong>Justin Kraemer<\/strong>, a PhD student at Rutgers University, who is conducting research on how Japanese and local employees in the U.S. build trust within Japanese companies.\u00a0 Justin needs more respondents, so if there are any <strong>JET alums out there who work for Japanese companies in the U.S.<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>please get in touch with him<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a very worthy research topic, and it would also reflect nicely on the JET alumni community to play a helpful role.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Japanese-American Research with JET Alumni in Mind<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Trustful relationships at work are the foundation on which performance is achieved.\u00a0 However, building such relationships may be particularly complex when employees come from different national cultures.\u00a0 To better understand intercultural relationship-building and to highlight Japan in the conversation about East and West, cross-cultural researchers from the Business School at Rutgers University are studying how Japanese and local employees build trust within Japanese companies in the USA.\u00a0 JetWit is enthusiastic about this partnership as the work of these researchers has been endorsed by the <strong>Honjo International Scholarship Foundation<\/strong>, the <strong>Japanese-American Association of New York<\/strong> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/jask.org\/news?mode=PostView&amp;bmi=452231&quot;
