Make technical presentations and attend meetings of industry organizations, particularly targeting the Asia Pacific region.<\/p>\n<p>Job Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u2022 Act as Project Leader for new product development.<br \/>\n\u2022 Evaluate commercial and experimental lubricant additives by Standard ASTM test methods.<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop additive formulations that meet customers\u2019 specific requirements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Write reports in English and Japanese.<br \/>\n\u2022 Give technical presentations in English and Japanese.<br \/>\n\u2022 Attend industry organization meetings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct all work in accordance with Petroleum Applications Laboratory ISO-9001 quality system procedures.<br \/>\n\u2022 Calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments in accordance with ISO-9001 protocol and procedures, including all equipment and instruments that require off-site calibration.<\/p>\n<p>Job Qualifications:<br \/>\n\u2022 B.S. degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry.<br \/>\n\u2022 1-2 years experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in lubricant formulating and lubricant testing a plus.<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluent in technical and conversational Japanese and English.<br \/>\n\u2022 Up to 20% travel required.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, email Helen Godfrey (hgodfrey@Central.UH.EDU).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job posting by Lauren Sethney (Niigata-shi CIR, 2000-2003).\u00a0 Lauren serves as the Program Director at the Japan-America Society in Dallas-Fort Worth.
