{"id":11643,"date":"2010-05-04T20:48:47","date_gmt":"2010-05-05T00:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=11643"},"modified":"2010-05-04T20:48:47","modified_gmt":"2010-05-05T00:48:47","slug":"attention-portland-jets-%e2%80%94-its-time-for-iron-chef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2010\/05\/04\/attention-portland-jets-%e2%80%94-its-time-for-iron-chef\/","title":{"rendered":"Attention Portland JETS \u2014 It&#8217;s time for Iron Chef"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnwjetaa.org\/\"> Portland JETAA Chapter <\/a><\/strong>has invited us to join in their annual<strong> Iron Chef Competition<\/strong>! <\/p>\n<p><strong>Date<\/strong>: Saturday, May 15th<br \/>\n<strong>Time<\/strong>: 4pm to 8pm-ish<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Portland!<\/p>\n<p>The Iron Chef event is a potluck event to enjoy cooking and eating Japanese food. Everyone brings Japanese food they prepared at home to compete in 3 categories: side dish, main dish, and dessert.  Three judges will taste each of the dishes and then pick the best dish and runner up in each category.<\/p>\n<p>This year Portland has added a Seattle vs. Portland category.  We will pick one person to represent us and make a dish using this year&#8217;s ingredient, Sensei Sauce .  The owner of Sensei Sauce will actually be coming by to judge our part of the competition! <\/p>\n<p>Some people are planning to go just for the 15th, but others may stay overnight on Saturday.  If any of you would like to stay over but don&#8217;t have somewhere to stay, let us know.  Portland has generously offered to ask their members to host us.<\/p>\n<p>The 15th is coming up soon!  <\/p>\n<p>So please email <strong>social@pnwjetaa.org<\/strong>  ASAP if you are interested in coming.<br \/>\nThe RSVP deadline is next<strong> Wednesday, May 12th<\/strong>.
