{"id":11115,"date":"2010-03-16T21:57:12","date_gmt":"2010-03-17T01:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=11115"},"modified":"2010-03-16T22:00:08","modified_gmt":"2010-03-17T02:00:08","slug":"job-director-of-major-gifts-at-the-asia-society-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2010\/03\/16\/job-director-of-major-gifts-at-the-asia-society-nyc\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: Director of Major Gifts at the Asia Society (NYC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/asia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9686\" src=\"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/asia-99x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"99\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/asia-99x300.jpg 99w, https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/asia.jpg 108w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 99px) 100vw, 99px\" \/><\/a>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asiasociety.org\/\">Asia Society<\/a><\/strong>, an internationally renowned non-profit, is looking for a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asiasociety.org\/about\/career-opportunities\/careers\">Director of Major Gifts<\/a><\/strong> at their headquarters in<strong> New York City.<\/strong> The\u00a0Director of Major Gifts is responsible for overseeing fundraising efforts from individual major donors and members for their operations and endowment budgets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROLES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate capital campaign to raise $50 million for Society\u2019s endowment;<\/li>\n<li>Fundraise major gifts from Trustees and other individual major donors to fulfill the Society\u2019s revenue targets for operating revenues;<\/li>\n<li>Manage Master Prospect List of individual donors and drive solicitations of major gifts;<\/li>\n<li>Lead effort to move donors and prospects up Master Prospect List to higher levels of donation.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement fundraising targets, strategies and plans for donations from individual major donors;<\/li>\n<li>Engage with all program areas of the Society to determine funding needs (especially from individuals), develop fundraising targets and execute plans to realize such targets;<\/li>\n<li>Manage individual donors through the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts for annual support and capital campaign;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee donor prospect research;<\/li>\n<li>Manage and oversee all individual membership programs, including Chairman\u2019s Circle, President\u2019s Circle, Friends of Asian Art, Asia Circle<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement strategies for upgrading current donors for unrestricted annual fundraising;<\/li>\n<li>Work in close consultation with and advise the Director of Special Events on individual donor participation on committees and in fundraising events.<\/li>\n<li>Engage the Board of Trustees and manage the Society\u2019s Development Committee to enhance the Board\u2019s fundraising capacity and role;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven fundraising capabilities;<\/li>\n<li>Masters degree and 7-10 years experience in soliciting major gifts and managing capital campaigns at significant nonprofit organizations preferred;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and management skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to engage and work well with members of the Board of Trustees, with major individual donors and prospects, and senior management with tact, maturity and good judgment;<\/li>\n<li>Dynamic personality and can-do attitude and proven ability to achieve targeted goals;<\/li>\n<li>Strong management skills and ability to get staff to achieve their results;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent research, writing and presentation skills;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and knowledge of Raiser\u2019s Edge or other database software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Email cover letter and resume with salary expectations to: HR@asiasoc.org.
