The World Bank<\/strong> is looking for a communications associate<\/a><\/strong> for its East Asia\/Pacific region<\/a> of its Web site at its headquarters in Washington D.C. \u00a0The Online Communications Producer will support the day-to-day operation of the region\u2019s sites<\/a> to better serve audiences and increase web content.<\/p>\n

DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\tHelping maintain the region\u2019s web editorial calendar.
\n\u2022\tPreparing, packaging and adapting content for the web.
\n\u2022\tEnsuring that web content is optimized for search engines.
\n\u2022\tCreating and publishing graphics, multimedia, video, and audio content.
\n\u2022\tCoordinating and contributing to blogs and other social media.
\n\u2022\tEnsuring that content complies with the Bank\u2019s web standards.
\n\u2022\tPublishing content to the region\u2019s sites, using the Bank\u2019s content management system.
\n\u2022\tCompiling and publishing reports on metrics.
\n\u2022\tComposing newsletters and managing distribution of e-mail alerts
\n\u2022\tHelping implement adoption and maintenance of online tools (contacts management, others)
\n\u2022\tLiaising with technical web teams: Running performance tests on websites, reporting on bugs, following up on fixes
\n\u2022\tArchiving content.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s degree (or equivalent) in interactive communications, journalism, marketing or other related field; two years\u2019 experience working on the web.
\n\u2022\tExcellent written and spoken command of English.
\n\u2022\tExperience working with content management systems, html, and Photoshop.
\n\u2022\tStrong writing skills; able to produce clear, concise, and web-friendly content.
\n\u2022\tFamiliarity with search engine optimization and web marketing and metrics.
\n\u2022\tExperience creating multimedia and interactive content (such as slideshows, videos, and timelines).
\n\u2022\tDemonstrated understanding of social media communications principles and other web 2.0 technologies.
\n\u2022\tGood time-management skills and eye for detail.
\n\u2022\tHigh level of initiative, judgment, and decisiveness in accomplishing tasks. Proven ability to work independently.
\n\u2022\tAbility to work capably under stress and to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
\n\u2022\tExperience working on cross-functional teams.
\n\u2022\tStrong diplomatic, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; sensitivity to working in a multicultural environment.<\/p>\n
